Carlo Spicola's career has touched upon various aspects of media production over a number of years. This experience has provided him with industry expertise as well as a modern and innovative vision of a future of where media meets technology.
At Torch Digital he has won extensive business and pioneered digital media technologies. Projects include wireless apps, media archiving, on-demand systems, web/mobile games, viral content, interactive campaigns, and digital signage, among many others.
His most recent position was driving the acquisition and development of educational and edutainment products for KNeoMedia Limited drawing upon years of experience creating engaging projects for clients like Children's Television Workshop, Nickelodeon and Warner. Here he built the HeroWorld/KNeoWorld mobile optimized web-based SaaS edutainment platform now distributed by top telecos in six countries and growing.
Carlo worked as a consultant for Bozell Worldwide where he helped to successfully land the ad agency's first interactive account for the new division billing 35 million. That team went on to launch one of the most successful integrated campaigns in history, Datek (now TD-Ameritrade) generating 100 plus million in account funding.
Carlo had his own studio, Animation NYC (now integrated into Torch Digital) and was working concurrently with MTV Networks in several production and marketing positions including MTV On-Air Promos, MTVN Creative Services and various Nickelodeon departments including the launch of NICK@AOL and Nick.com.
Other production credits for Carlo include: the Virtual Ball Park Tours, World Series, All-Star and Negro League Web sites for Major League Baseball; an interactive tour of "Arnold's Room" and Nintendo Pokémon integrated ad launch for Nickelodeon; the music industries first VR Media Enhanced CDs for Skinny Puppy and the Wu-Tang Clan; additional Virtual Reality projects for Apple Computer, Sesame Street and Calvin Klein to name only a few.
He also produced TV commercials, bumpers, PSAs and graphics for ad agencies, A&E, CBS, Burger King, ESPN/NFL, FOX, Kraft and the MAC AIDS Fund.
